Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Two Sons Pizza in Traverse City, MI. This position supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, coordinating shifts, and maintaining food quality and service standards. The Assistant General Manager helps manage opening and closing procedures, monitors inventory and supplies, and ensures cleanliness and safety throughout the restaurant. They assist with training and coaching team members, addressing guest concerns, and reinforcing company policies and procedures. The role also involves supporting basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, cash handling, and reporting to help the restaurant run efficiently and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, with prior supervisory or shift lead responsibilities.

• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, resolve issues, and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with guests and team members.
\n
• Capability to manage staff scheduling, oversee workflows during peak hours, and support performance feedback and coaching.
\n
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and health regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
\n
• Prior bread making or deck pizza oven and dough handling experience and a passion for hand-crafted ingredients.
\n
• Comfort with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and simple administrative tasks such as logging sales and tracking inventory.
\n
• Reliable, hands-on work style, with the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
\n
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience as an assistant manager or similar role in food service is preferred.
\n

Hours, Salary and Benefits - Expectation is 40-50 hours per week and salary is $45,000 to $50,000 depending on experience. Benefits include:
